Residents of eight rural communities under Tukulma Centre in Tukulma Ward, Akko Local Government Area of Gombe State, have appealed to the Federal, State and Local Governments to urgently provide basic social amenities to improve their living conditions. The communities said they have been living for years without access roads, clean drinking water, healthcare facilities, schools, electricity and other essential infrastructure, making life difficult for residents. Speaking with Nexus Channels, the Village Head of Garin Isah, Ardo Isa Tukulma, appealed to government at all levels to extend development projects to the area, noting that neighbouring communities have benefited from similar interventions. He also explained that despite the lack of educational opportunities and other social amenities, the youths in the communities remain peaceful, disciplined and law-abiding. According to him, investing in education and rural development will help address insecurity, reduce poverty and promote lasting peace. Another community leader, Jauro Isa, said all eight villages under Tukulma Centre have been neglected over the years and called on the Gombe State Government to give the communities the attention they deserve. The affected communities include Garin Jauro Isah, Garin Alhaji Wakili, Garin Jauro Manje, Garin Kari Shetima, Garin Jauro Mai Daji, Garin Kashalla Cici Bako, Garin Karekare and Garin Jauro Chindo, all located in Tukulma Ward of Akko Local Government Area.
