APC Guber Candidate Launches Jamilu Renewed Hope Movement

A statement issued by the Media Aide to the APC gubernatorial candidate, Ibrahim Sani Shawai, says the movement was inaugurated over the weekend with delegates drawn from wards, local government areas and the state level in attendance. According to the statement, the State Coordinator of the Movement, Ibrahim Umar Babangida, described the initiative as a grassroots-driven platform established to mobilise support for the APC and its candidates across Gombe State. Babangida stated that the movement aims to reach all the 2,988 polling units in the state, expressing confidence that the structure would contribute significantly to the party’s electoral fortunes in 2027. The statement further quoted Dr. Gwamna as thanking members of the organisation for their support and commitment, describing the gathering as a reflection of their dedication to a common vision for the development of Gombe State. Dr. Gwamna also reaffirmed his support for the movement and called on members to remain committed to strengthening the APC at the grassroots. He expressed optimism that the level of mobilisation and unity demonstrated by party supporters across the state’s local government areas would enhance the party’s chances in future elections. The event was described as the first major gathering of the group since Dr. Gwamna secured the APC governorship ticket.
