Seven Years On: Stakeholders Assess Governor Yahaya's Performance

Government officials, business leaders, and development stakeholders have commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's seven years in office, citing notable achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and women's empowerment across Gombe State.

Government officials, community leaders, business operators, and residents have commended Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya for what they described as remarkable achievements recorded during his seven years in office. Renowned businessman Alhaji Abubakar Migini praised the governor's developmental strides, stating that traders and business operators, particularly those in Gombe Main Market, have benefited from the administration's policies and infrastructure projects. The Project Coordinator of the Nigeria for Women Programme Scale-Up Project, Hajiya Hauwa Saraki, commended Governor Inuwa Yahaya for promoting women's inclusion in governance and creating opportunities for women to contribute to the state's development. Similarly, Hajiya Mairo Adamu, Women Leader of the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Yamaltu-Deba Chapter, praised the administration for initiatives that have improved the lives of citizens, especially women and farmers across the state. A taxi driver in Gombe, Malam Umar Ibrahim, said road infrastructure projects executed by the government have improved transportation and eased movement within the state. Also speaking, the General Manager of Gombe Cooperatives Financing Agencies Limited, Alhaji Adamu Lawan, lauded the administration's achievements in infrastructure, healthcare, education, and economic development, noting that the projects have positively impacted residents and businesses. The Chief of Staff to the Governor, Alhaji Abubakar Inuwa Kari, said the administration inherited several sectors in a state of decay and responded by implementing a ten-year development plan that has transformed Gombe State across various sectors. The stakeholders cited improvements in road infrastructure, healthcare facilities, educational development, economic empowerment programmes, and women's participation in governance as some of the key achievements recorded under Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya's administration over the past seven years.
